YA shop expands to include ethical clothing and fairly traded mat bags

Online yoga magazine www.yoga-abode.com has expanded its online shop to include ethical sports clothing from Gossypium.

Organic and fairtrade clothing firm Gossypium was chosen as a supplier due to its pioneering ethical policy. All Gossypium clothes are designed in the UK and made from organic and fairtrade cotton grown in India.

Gossypium's cotton is sourced by community cotton broker Agrocel, ensuring that employees, farmers and animals work in the best possible conditions, without the threat of exploitation.

Yoga Abode has also introduced a range of fairly traded yoga mat bags in a variety of funky colours and styles.

The expansion of YA's environmentally friendly shop coincides with the imminent launch of two new editorial sections: a new Food section; and Yoga As Transformation - a regular column looking at how yoga has been pivotal in changing individuals' lives.

The new Food section will include vegetarian, vegan and ayurvedic recipes; a What's New column; and articles on nutrition and trends.

Lucia Cockcroft, Yoga Abode's editor, says: 'Yoga enthusiasts are naturally in tune with the environment and seek out products that are as sustainably produced as possible. At the same time, they are style-conscious and value practicality. We think our expanded shop will give cater for a real demand from the UK's ever-growing community of yoga fans.'

Yoga Abode is the UK's only online magazine about yoga and wellbeing, featuring news and articles on all aspects of yoga, including a popular travel section. The site also incorporates a social networking area and online yoga shop, featuring ethically made products.
