In 2007, yoga and pilates teacher Sally Parkes went to India to find a source that could provide fairly traded quality items for her company, Planet Yoga.
Sally met Sudha Akhilanka in Mysore, Southern I
ndia, where Sudha lives and works with her family.
Sudha now does a great job of making the yoga mat bags. Each bag is hand made, fully lined and unique in design.
What's more, there's no middle man involved, allowing Sudha to be paid a fair price and receive a regular, realistic income.
