Great for: Yin yoga, and for people generally seeking a luxuriously comfortable feel.

The low-down: We probably shouldn't have a favourite, but this is the editor's top choice. A wonderfully thick, cushioned mat - but still under a 1 kg in weight. The TPE material has an inner cotton layer that prevents it from stretching and slipping. It also scores on looks - the attractive patterned surface is only found on this mat and its sister product, the 3.55mm Eco Travel Mat.
