Meditation teaching courses for yoga teachers

Meditation teaching courses for yoga teachers

Anyone know any? Thanks.

I think Sivananda org does them in Bahamas - check out their site...

Thanks Ben. Can I ask whether you incorporate some meditation into your yoga classes? In my experience it's often neglected - mainly because of time restraints, I guess - and I'm interested to know how people teach it (focus on the breath, or on a mantra etc).

For anyone who's interested - there's a good synopsis of the main points of meditation here:

I have always tried to incorporate meditation as much as possible into my teaching - for beginners only in an indirect way without mentioning the word 'meditation' (because it freaks some people out and pushes them awayif they are not ready): encouraging students to close the eyes, focus on the breath/particular part of the body/ajna chakra during pranayama. I run meditation courses now for those that want it, but it's a relatively new thing. If you want some more info about it email me, i'd rather not go into it too much here...
