Wednesday 25 April, 2007

Taj HotelsLuxury Indian hotel chain Taj Hotels has introduced a range of holistic yoga retreats starting this May. Three Taj Spas will be offering the breaks until September.

Three Taj Spas - Taj Exotica in Goa; Rambagh Palace in Jaipur; and Taj Green Cove Resort in Kovalam - are taking part.

The holidays come with five yoga sessions a day, including morning and evening classes, a theory class, yoga nidra, meditation and chanting. Two levels of yoga - gentle and dynamic - will be offered.

Between 11am and 3.30pm every day, guests are free to lunch, swim, read, socialise or relax in a jacuzzi or with a massage.

Prices for the retreats are based on single occupancy (from £450 for four nights), double occupancy with both guests attending the retreat (£750 for two people for four nights), or double occupancy with only one guest taking part.

Established in 1902, Taj Hotels and Palaces is one of Asia's largest hotel groups. It has 59 hotels in 40 locations across India, as well as 17 in locations such as the Maldives, Mauritius and Malaysia.
