Yoga-abode launches online shop

Sunday 28 January, 2007

Yoga-abode has launched an online shop for both US and UK readers, hosted by internet retailer amazon. The virtual store offers a host of yoga books and products, including classics such David Swenson's Ashtanga Yoga and Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar. Relaxation music, DVDs, videos and props are also on offer.

The arrival of the shop follows the launch of yoga-abode's classifieds section and teacher directory, and precedes the introduction of a user-generated area, where members can leave reviews of retreats, classes and products. Online yoga classes are also in the pipeline.

Yoga-abode began life as an online magazine in Spring 2006. The site aims to become the UK's number one source of news and commentary on the yoga world, and is gradually expanding the features available to users.

Social networking and information-sharing will also be a large component, modelled on the runaway success of sites such as tripadvisor, Myspace and youtube.

To order, click this link http://store.yoga-abode.com/ or go the "shop" button on the top menu bar.
