Monday 7 August, 2006

logoA new website offering over 50 professionally filmed yoga practises has gone live. The online classes at www.myyogaonline.com – said to be of DVD quality – vary in length and include hatha, ashtanga, Kundalini and also pilates.

Among the sequences offered are mini-yoga routines for the morning, before bed-time sequences (or “insomnia hatha flow), and exercises for breathing and relaxation. New classes are added monthly.

They can be viewed on a computer or by attaching a laptop or desktop to a TV, and are meant for practice at home, work or while travelling. Music from sister site www.myyogaonline.com/musicstore.htm can be downloaded to accompany the practice.

Vancouver-based www.myyogaonline.com is the brainchild of Kreg Weiss, yoga teacher and athlete, Michele Trantina, a yoga teacher with a film background, and Jason Jacobson, a filmmaker with a business background.

Membership is from $9.95 Canadian dollars (or £4.60) a month, or $89.95 (£41) a year.
